हमारा प्रेरक वेदमन्त्र · Our guiding Vedic mantra
विद्यां चाविद्यां च यस्तद्वेदोभयं सह। अविद्यया मृत्युं तीर्त्वा विद्ययामृतमश्नुते॥ — शुक्लयजुर्वेद ४०.११
शब्दानुसार अर्थ: जो विद्या और अविद्या—इन दोनों को साथ जानता है, वह अविद्या के द्वारा मृत्यु को पार करके विद्या के द्वारा अमृतत्व प्राप्त करता है।
Close translation: One who understands both vidyā and avidyā together crosses beyond death through avidyā and attains immortality through vidyā.
विद्या और अविद्या के विशेष अर्थ भाष्य के अनुसार समझने चाहिए। ऊपर का अंग्रेज़ी ध्येयवाक्य हमारा संस्थागत उद्देश्य है; मन्त्र का शब्दशः अनुवाद नहीं।
The specific meanings of vidyā and avidyā depend on the commentary. Our motto expresses our institutional purpose; it is not a literal translation of the mantra.
